UPPER POOL MAKEOVER PROJECT UPDATE Friday afternoon JUNE 9, 2017
We can see an end to the upper pool makeover project!!!!
Today, as we send out this update, the plumbing that connects all the skimmers as well as the piping that connects all the returns around the perimeter of the pool will be completed. Tomorrow and Sunday the tile and coping will be installed by the masons. Once the coping is set, backfilling and stone prep can begin for the pool decks. The prep and then pouring of the decks is expected to take two and a half to three days. The last step prior to filling the pool with water is applying the plaster finish. Depending on when the deck work is completed, and the weather, plaster is tentatively scheduled for next Friday – Saturday or Saturday – Sunday. Filling the pool will begin within hours of the deep end being plastered; the curing process begins under water. The plaster process is expected to take two days. After the pool is filled with water, and the filters turned on, it will take a couple days to balance the pool water chemically prior to opening.
Look for another update mid-week…and hopefully, an OPENING DATE!!!!
While the weather wasn’t the greatest, the lower pool opened on Saturday (6/3) alongside the annual Chicken Bar-B-Que. The pool was also open for business on Sunday (6/4).
The lower pool will reopen for the season on Saturday, June 10th. On Sunday, June 11, we will have an inflatable Circus Train out on the yard for our youngest patrons to enjoy.
