United Way Day of Caring
Sponsored by Lowes
September 28th, 2011

Day of Caring is an annual event where the North Penn United Way connects volunteers with local groups who need additional assistance with certain community based projects.

Projects range from painting a mural to building a playground or reading to preschoolers.

Last year, more than 200 volunteers armed with shovels, rakes and loads of elbow grease completed 17 projects in North Penn and Indian Valley helping hundreds of people in the community.

This year you can be part of the movement and experience what it means to LIVE UNITED in your community.

Projects include:
Renovated bathroom and door frame
Exterior building repair
Retaining wall by scoreboard
Repair signage

Thank you to Lowes and their volunteers for their generous donation of labor and materials that helped make this possible!

Born Learning Trail
The Born Learning Trail is a fun, interactive series of outdoor games that help adults and young children explore and learn together. Built by volunteers, the Trail offers activities that build language and thinking skills fundamental to a child’s success in school and in life.

Thank you to Hatfield Quality Meats for their volunteers who worked on this project!
